Opticomm TV reception

Many parts of Ellenbrook have their TV reception delivered by either an underground coax cable network formally known as E-wire, or a fibre optic network formally Telstra Velocity, now operated by Opticomm.  carrying local TV channels amongst other services such as internet access.  While traditionally this has eliminated the need for a TV antenna on the roof and does have some potential advantages, unfortunately there is different points of failure and sometimes ongoing running and maintenance costs.  Other suburbs where TV reception is provided by Opticomm are :

If you are are experiencing TV reception issues in an Opticomm estate, you have various options you can take :

1. To rule out where the issue may lie, the signal levels out of the ONT can be measured to diagnose the issue, the houses internal cabling is the home owners responsibility (coax cable, wall points, splitter), where as the fibre-optic cable, NTD device (box on outside wall), is Opticomms responsibility

2. Submission made to the Tellecommunications Ombudsman regarding the TV reception issues you are experiecing

3. Roof mounted TV antenna can be installed to receive the TV channels directly from the tower to solve your TV reception issue
